Ally said: “As well as a rope access instructor, I work as an independent assessor for IRATA and it was during this role that I heard about AIS Training. The company has a fantastic reputation for high quality industry training and has grown phenomenally in the past few years since its inception. I was looking for a new challenge and career progression so when a position at AIS’s newly opened Aberdeen centre came up, the role was a perfect fit. I’m now really looking forward to helping AIS Training further its ambitious expansion plans in Aberdeen and to establish Kingshill as a world- leading centre for rope access and working at height training provision.”

Nikki Michie, AIS Aberdeen Centre Manager said: “We are delighted to welcome Ally to our Aberdeen team. Recruiting Ally is a great coup for AIS as he is extremely well-known and well- respected within the rope access community.

“His appointment is the latest in a number of new hires at our Aberdeen site as we’ve already recruited several specialist instructors and office staff to help manage the centre and deliver a wide range of industry-approved courses in rigging, banksman, working at height, confined space, first aid, mechanical joint integrity and fork lift truck handling, amongst many others.

“This significant investment in Aberdeen underlines our strong commitment to clients and the energy industry in general and will help contribute towards creating a skilled, knowledgeable, talented and competent workforce to meet the future needs of the oil and gas and renewables sectors.”
