Owned and operated by

NOF is a national business development organisation with over 400 members involved in the offshore wind, oil & gas and power sectors. Our range of services include Business Development, Industry Introductions and Events & Networking. Membership of NOF is open to both UK and International companies.

In 2011 NOF brought together offshore wind leaders in North East England to develop Energi Coast. NOF continues to play an active role in the Cluster and delivers its comprehensive plan of activities around cluster meetings and events. In addition NOF drives a very ambitious regional marketing campaign on behalf of Energi Coast to ensure the North East of England is recognised as a leading offshore wind hub and a centre of excellence for the industry.

NOF also plays an important role in the provision of offshore wind market intelligence. Our UK and Global Offshore Wind Projects Database (OWPD) gives members sight of the project pipeline, key players along with market and supply chain forecasts.

Joanne Leng MBE, Chief Executive, NOF (Management Group, Energi Coast )

Welcome from Tony Quinn, Chair of Energi Coast

I am very proud to be chair of Energi Coast, which champions a passionate, experienced, and highly collaborative cluster of supply chain companies.  The cluster’s commitment to develop and apply innovative solutions to the industry is world-renowned and a reputation we continue to grow in our support of global offshore wind projects.

About

Energi Coast is the North East of England’s Offshore Wind Cluster.

Made up of more than 30 key regional businesses and stakeholder organisations involved in offshore wind, the leadership group works to showcase the vast supply chain capabilities in this sector within North East England, promote the region as a key hub for servicing both the UK and International offshore wind markets.

The leadership group is made up of Developers, Ports, Supply Chain, Skills & Academia, Innovation & Research Organisations, and Supporters.

The wider Energi Coast cluster is made up of over 300 North East England suppliers who are either active in the market or have the transferrable skills along with the ambition to move into offshore wind.

Each Energi Coast Leadership Group participant acts as a regional Ambassador for offshore wind and is committed to ensuring the cluster has a strong voice to represent the supply chain and this vibrant industry which has huge economic benefit for North East England.

The North East of England region has been active in the offshore wind sector since the inception of the industry. The first UK offshore wind farm built in 2000 and subsequently the first successfully decommissioned in the UK is located off the coast of Blyth, Northumberland and, to date, supply chain companies from within the region’s cluster have been involved in the vast majority of offshore wind farms globally.
