EnBW appoints Norway offshore chief
Hanne Marit G Strand will be managing director of its newly founded division

EnBW has hired Hanne Marit G Strand (pictured) to serve as managing director of its newly founded EnBW Offshore Wind Norway AS.

Strand has worked for more than 15 years for the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in a variety of positions, specialising in market entry and business development.

She has advised companies expanding in the German and Norwegian market and has worked to bring industries from both countries together.

EnBW’s aim is to be committed to the Norwegian market for the long term and to track Norway’s offshore wind policy and market developments for a potential bid in future auctions, the company said.

Holger Grubel, EnBW’s head of portfolio development for offshore wind power generation, said: "We are delighted that Hanne Marit G Strand is joining our EnBW team, to lead our efforts in Norway and build strong ties with Norwegian authorities, companies and investors."

EnBW Norway AS, a trading company of EnBW, is already represented in Oslo with an office at Aker Brygge.
