Guests gather to celebrate the opening of Eastgate Engineering's new head office

An engineering firm says it has entered an “exciting new chapter” following a head office move.

Eastgate Engineering has swit ched to a base in Thornaby, near Stockton-on-Tees.

The company says its Mercury House home, on the wider Teesdale Business Park, “lays the foundation” for future growth.

Employing hundreds of staff, the business operates across sectors including offshore wind, power and renewables, healthcare, mining and manufacturing.

It previously secured a Baltic Sea contract to support work on the Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farms, and was also contracted to provide services to the development of Dogger Bank wind farm.

Chief executive David Brennan, who founded the firm in 2007, said: “This is a proud milestone for me and the team.

“This new space reflects who we are today: an ambitious, united and forward‑looking team.”

The business also has bases in Warrington and Waterford, Ireland.
