Inch Cape has opened applications for the first 10 job roles for the operational phase of its 1.1GW offshore wind farm off east Scotland.
The project said the positions are among at least 50 full-time roles required to operate and maintain the wind farm, with jobs to be based at a new £6.5 million operations facility under construction at the Port of Montrose and with turbine supplier Vestas under its turbine maintenance service warranty agreement.
The company added that the first vacancies include engineering, health and safety, control room and management positions, with applications closing in mid-August and successful candidates due to start from the autumn.
The operational roles will be primarily office-based or hybrid working, with offshore visits undertaken when required from crew transfer vessels serving the site.
“Inch Cape is a world class gigawatt scale project and these roles provide a great opportunity for people to contribute to its success while gaining experience and developing their offshore wind careers with leading players in the industry,” said Inch Cape Project Director John Hill.
The project, which is being developed by ESB and Red Rock Renewables, said contracts for initial goods and service requirements from external providers will be issued later this year.
