Gulf sets up UK energy subsidiary
New unit to drive Europe investment expansion

Gulf Development has established a wholly owned subsidiary, Gulf Energy Development Limited, in the United Kingdom.

The company said the unit has a registered capital of GBP 10,000 and will serve as its operating and business development base in the UK and Europe.

Gulf Development added that the subsidiary will support investment in energy, infrastructure and related businesses while acting as a regional hub for strategic partnerships.

The move marks an expansion of the company’s business operations in Europe and aims to enhance flexibility in pursuing new opportunities.

The company currently holds investments in the 464.8MW Borkum Riffgrund 2 offshore wind farm in Germany (pictured) and the 1500MW Outer Dowsing offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom.

Borkum Riffgrund 2 is already in commercial operation, while Outer Dowsing is under development and expected to begin operations in 2031.
