Primo Marine is an independent specialist with an extensive track record in subsea (from landfall) cable installation, protection and maintenance including cable design.

We provide clients with a range of services relating too:

  • Conceptual Risk Engineering, covering Pre-FEED, FEED, Engineering Procurement Construction Tendering, Installation and Operation phases of a project. Primo performs studies such as route engineering and optimization, Cable Burial Risk Assessment, Early Burial Assessments etc.
  • Pre-Construction & Installation campaigns, covering onshore and offshore management of survey campaigns (geotechnical, geophysical, UneXploded Ordnance (UXO), depth of burial (DoB), cable tracking etc.), installation, cable handling, protection, trenching, dredging (including seabed preparation), rock-placement and landfalls (open trench,  HDD, Microtunnelling, Direct-Pipe etc.)
  • Tendering, covering scope and specification preparation, evaluation, selection and contract negotiation.
  • Project & Interface Management, including onshore and offshore installation and burial specialists, the full range of management capabilities including permitting, reporting and authorities.
  • Quality Control (QC) and Auditing, covering the full range of project and corporate management capabilities, especially relating to auditing, verification, Health, Safety Environment (HSE) and Project & Business Management Systems.
  • Construction Support covering the full range of client representation duties.
  • Operations & Maintenance incorporating Business Continuity and Emergency Response Systems including prevention, preparedness, fault finding/forensic surveys, response, Repairs and cable monitoring.
  • Cable system risk mitigation.
